Mission:

The Director of Technology is responsible for leading the technology team consisting of developers and implementation specialists all focused on creating best in class solutions within the HubSpot platform. Your mission is to manage and build a team of the best technical talent that can uplevel Mole Street’s capabilities to develop and implement the most high performing websites, migrations, integrations and implementations through HubSpot in the market. You will directly oversee code quality and performance for our web builds in the CMS as well as the implementation work across Sales, Marketing, Service and Ops Hubs. Additionally, you will outline and lead technical discoveries and road-mapping for integrations, migrations and other projects that require development and technical scoping.

You will manage your team’s hours and priorities, ensuring that the internal tasking system through Monday.com is optimized and your team is picking up and executing on the work quickly and with high quality standards. You will also assist in a new business capacity, creating confidence for potential clients in our technical capabilities and approach to solving their problems. You will bill a portion of your time for the highest level technical work while focusing on managing and growing your team’s capabilities to execute.

Success for this position is based on highly detailed management and growth around the technical capabilities of the company.

Day-to-Day: 

Three main disciplines are critical to success for the Director of Technology. The ability to:

  • Ensure the highest standards of quality of development and implementation of all HubSpot technical work
  • Manage and resource plan your team to meet utilization goals and excel in execution
  • Support on new business development and expansion efforts with current clients as requested

Below are examples of day to day activities that are not exhaustive:

Technology Delivery

  • Hold planning meetings for website development, integrations, migration and implementations in HubSpot, setting frameworks and standards and managing quality through to shipment of the work 
  • Ensure strategy and technical road maps are  clear for team and clients, and influence new ideas and initiatives with the team for continued engagement and expansion
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders on the client-side and oversee account strategy and relationship management from a technical perspective
  • Provide code and technical reviews and feedback for milestone deliverables 
  • Oversee reporting and insights on data and work completed, ensuring effective delivery of results internally and externally to clients 
  • Ensure performance standards are met or exceeded for our clients on all development, integration, migration and implementations in HubSpot 

Team Management

  • Weekly resource planning meetings with your team to ensure everyone is clear on their clients and hours required to maintain utilization
  • Weekly 1:1 with your direct reports
  • Quarterly reviews with direct reports
  • Quarterly goals with direct reports
  • Ensure alignment across teammates and initiatives, coaching and mentoring as necessary to achieve highest standards

New Business 

  • Engage in late-stage selling for net new business 
  • Identify opportunities for expansion within current clients and create up-sell opportunities
  • Review web migration opportunities from new HubSpot clients and liaise with the development team to provide hours/timeline quotes as requested 

Admin

  • Daily huddle attendance - 9:32-9:47 daily
  • Weekly account meeting attendance - 10:30am Mondays
  • Availability on email, Slack, Zoom, and phone during working hours for connects with team and client as needed
  • Work on special projects including Mole Street marketing and other ops related admin projects as assigned
